for all the complainers

Though they mainly come through YouTube and rude people born without brain filters who just walk up to strangers and say any random, stupid thing that comes into their head, this is for all the complainers. The people who want professional, HD filming from two hobbyists, who want archive quality costumes on our shoestring budget, who want professional pictures and scratching of their fetish itches without offering anything in return, this is for you:
You could have it so much worse, so be grateful we’re sharing our high quality, sexy selves with you. For free.
(The picture above was taken from Holy Taco’s “The Worst Homemade Star Wars Costumes” list, which is definitely worth looking at. Go. Look. We’ll still be here.) And thank you to the few who have offered your help, expertise, constructive advice and have actually helped us along the way. It’s greatly appreciated, and maybe some of your class will rub off on the ruder people.
Hi im a portuguese guy living in the uk and in my 29 years of life i confess i had no idea that ppl tryed or made a living out of this, so i was very supriesed when i found out one of your videos on the youtube, i end up finding the video via a guns roses video lol ..
any way i imagine you girls get a lot of attencion expecialy from the male fetished ppl,,, but i guess its understandble after all you are 2 girls walking around in super heroes costumes, so i guess some times you have to endure some problems and ppl judging you but i hope you girls dont give up on it and let me congratulate you on the quality of the videos atleast the 2 that i have seen make me imagine 2 realy nice and simple girls that are just trying to make a living … if that is true or not its impossible to know since this is the internet and i guess it dosent realy matter
good work and i hope you get all the things you desire
I guess I should’ve warned you. If and when you ever get a paysite up and running, you will probably be inundated with this sort of thing. It seems to be an occupational hazard. Most of the models who appear on superheroine sites don’t actually run them and are shielded from this stuff by the photographers/videographers or the guy (it’s usually a guy) who runs the site. But you two are on the front lines.
Just watched Simple Twist of Fate. Video quality seems fine to me. Frankly, I think people would pay to watch Batgirl stand around posing in latex or Catwoman straining to rip the lid off the tip bucket. (Remember, superheroic feats of strength are a major turn-on for some of these guys.)
You are musician-designer-writer-actresses. Write yourselves a little script, put on your self-designed costumes, act it out in front of even the cheapest video camera, set it to music — and sell it to the itchy ones. You, too, can be artsy and turn a profit at the same time. If you build it, they will come! . . . Okay, maybe not the best choice of words. But you get the idea.
My only other crazy suggestion: put all your Zannel and YouTube and Flickr links at the top of the blog so they’re easy to find.
And, now, in appreciation of your free, high quality, sexy selves — I offer you a round-up of amusing or interesting links to brighten your day:

Hi Ashes, and thanks for the nice comment. I guess it is a really common misconception for people to think we’re paid to be out there, and honestly I didn’t give any thought to it until I considered it as a job for myself. Still, even if more people like you would stop and see us as people that would make things easier. Thanks for seeing behind the masks to the real people. 🙂
Hi Mike! As always, thanks for your tips and tricks, you’re always helping us out when we need it or feel stuck. Are you sure you don’t have the super ability to read minds? I sometimes feel the need to wear tinfoil. 😉
Anyway, maybe you’re right. Maybe we should just sell what we’re doing instead of giving it away for free, and then the complainers would feel a bit more validated. They paid for it, they expect a certain level of quality, whereas all the random people who walk up to us just to critique or who leave anonymous comments on YouTube really have no place to say anything. They can look away, they didn’t invest anything in it.
Anyway, I guess I just got down because we weren’t hearing or experiencing anything very positive at that time. I know it comes in waves, there just needed to be some balance. Thanks again! That Wonder Bread was hilarious, by the way.
